Upcoming Events That Might Tickle Your Fancy
Valentine’s Day (or Singles Awareness Day, depending on your outlook) is fast approaching and we are cooking up a storm in the kitchen as we experiment (and taste & taste…umm, can jeans actually be let out or should I just pull out my fatty girl ones from storage?) with delicious and different fare for you. Details to follow next week!
In the meantime, this week: Crawfish Etoufee with Dirty Rice and Split Pea Soup with Smoked Ham. Both absolutely scrumptious. Also two new vodka infusions: Lemon & Rosemary and Watermelon & Whipped Cream. Danger, Will Robinson! For those of you that are still following your New Year’s Resolutions, we have Pavlova with Chantilly Cream & Fruit for dessert. Only slightly sinful. Of course, if you want to taste total richness, try our Bread Pudding with Whiskey Caramel Sauce. OMG. That’s all I can say.
This weekend we’ll add our yummy Lasagna with Meat Sauce served with Salad and Garlic Bread along with some fun wine pairings.
Tracy & James McKinney have given us the date for our first Cheese Class: Understanding Cheese I — Saturday, February 25th from 2-4 p.m. A great selection of cheese and accompaniments, vino to match, and lots of fun (just wait for Tracy to talk about malolactic fermentation!).
